Back for another track day. I mounted up some new Dunlop slicks, since the Michelins that I had on there were definitely done. My father ended up joining me for the track day, since he and his wife were in town for the weekend. The day was long, starting at 3:30am to load the truck and trailer, then pick my father up at around 5am. We were up at the track by 7:45 with only one minor problem... I forgot to bolt the seat down on the Aprilia! I fortunately happened to see it fly up off the bike and was able to pull off the highway quickly and run back to recover it. This was along the section of I5 just before coming into Willows. The seat is a little scuffed from the tumble, but is otherwise fine. I had the SV just in case anything happened to the RS, but it would have sucked to not be able to ride the RS just because there was no seat!

Here are a few pictures that my dad took while we were there.

Hooray for bump-starting :P

My dad also hired a video company at the track (Vision Wells) to follow me around for a couple of sessions. For the second one they also hooked up a video camera to my helmet, so I have two views for the same laps. Here are a couple lower resolution clips from the videos. The clips are from the same lap and are about one lap in length.

Video 2 (helmet cam) - with sound!
