NX maintenance

Time to take care of some maintenance items on the NX. First on the agenda was the head bearings.

Mmm, crunchy bearings. They actually look worse than they were. The notchiness or stiffness in the steering was really slight but noticeable.

New non-crunchy components installed.

Here is the bike looking filthy but modeling the larger Acerbis tank that Alex gave me. The extended mileage range is really nice.

Ok, now the routine maintenance stuff, like oil and filter change, valve adjustment, air filter change, etc. The rear brakes were also squeaking, so I decided to put some new shoes in.

I also noticed that the rear sprocket was looking a little abused, so I ordered a new one. I could not find a steel one in the size that was on there before (44), so I ordered an aluminum one. This one should be fine, as long as I lay off the wheelies a bit on this bike :)

Lastly, I installed some new indicators for the rear. The old ones were starting to fall apart, and I happened to have these left over from my Baja Designs kit that I put on the XR.
